一、结构：主语+was/were+ V-ing

二、用法
表示在过去某一时间正在进行的动作。句子中往往有表示过去的时间状语then, at that time/moment, this time, yesterday等，或表示与过去发生的某事同时发生的动作(即与when, while引出的时间状语从句连用)。
And then I was talking to another guy in the bank, and I forgot the time.
